A family affair.
Fleur de Savon was born after decade of crafting soaps - first for family, then for friends, and eventually for friends of friends who ‘just happened to know I was making soap.’ Thanks to a gentle (yet impressively persistent) nudge from my loved ones, Fleur de Savon officially sprang to life in 2024.
The name, coined by my eldest nephew, reflects both my roots and my passion.
“Fleur” calls to mind the blooms in the gardens I fuss over with great affection, and the botanicals I harvest, dry, and coax into each bar. It also gives a subtle wink to fleur de sel, a reminder to choose the finest bits life has to offer—even in the shower.
Today, I craft every soap in my home studio on our little farm in La Pêche, Québec. At the centre of my work is a love for simplicity, ethical sourcing, and an incurable curiosity… with fun stirred in whenever it insists on joining the party (which is often).
Rooted in my French heritage, Fleur de Savon celebrates the gentle art of soapmaking and the quiet magic of gardens, bringing a touch of nature—and a spark of delight—into your everyday routine.
Tested on Friends and Family
At Fleur de Savon, every soap has a story. Maybe it was inspired by a whiff of fresh herbs in the garden, the vibrant colors of wildflowers while camping, or just evolved from old family faves. Each bar is a blend of creativity, nature, and a sprinkle of fun.
But crafting soaps isn’t where the magic ends—our real secret lies in rigorous quality testing. Enter my youngest nephew, the self-appointed Director (no less) of Quality Assurance. His method? Squish the soaps with full post-gardening enthusiasm. If a bar can survive his stamp of approval, it’s ready for you.
So, whether you’re looking for a soap with personality or just a really great smell, we’ve got you covered—literally.
Ingredients
We believe great soap begins with exceptional ingredients—and a whole lot of care. That’s why we’re passionate about sourcing as much as we can from local Canadian providers, supporting our community while ensuring the highest quality. From organic oils and butters to homegrown botanicals harvested straight from our gardens, every ingredient is thoughtfully chosen. We do not use palm oil in our soaps, and all colours are extracted from botanicals or clays - no oxides, no micas.
The essential oils come exclusively from certified, trusted suppliers who share our commitment to quality. And because we make everything in small batches, each bar receives the utmost attention, ensuring it meets our high quality standards.
I hope you will love using these soaps as much as I loved creating them
